Final
Project
This is your final assigned project.
For this project you are to create your own project.
At first glance
this may seem a bit of a cop-out, but in fact this is the single
most difficult thing to do as a photographer/artist.
Once outside
of the academic structure, it becomes increasingly more difficult
to get honest feedback or criticism. This means that you have to
trust yourself completely in your artistic endeavors in order to
justify the time and expense, as well as the possibility of public
humiliation or ridicule if your work is not met with favorable
review.
To insure your success, it is important to have a plan, look at
that plan from every angle, and then to throw caution to the wind
and try to execute that plan.
You must write out a proposal and bring it to me NEXT week!
Your Proposal:
Ask yourself the questions; who, what, why, where, when...etc...
If you can keep answering those questions, then you need to keep
thinking. Try to determine how you want your viewer to see the
images.
Try a quick-write to get the ideas out of your head. Use adjectives!
Don't over-think the problem! This can end up as death of the creative
spirit, so do what you can to work it out, then just go do it.
The final quantity, size, and materials will be determined by your
idea and/or the subject.
